This T Top coupe is finished in beautiful metallic black pearl paint and puts out a thumping exhaust note which really turns heads.
The subject of an extensive restoration and modification that was completed in late 2005 by the previous owner, the current owner bought the car in 2008. Since then, it has done little work and has been held mostly in storage.
Around 450HP is supplied by a worked 350ci Chevy engine stroked to 383ci (6.3 litres) with a custom ground Crower solid lift cam, Holley 830 Annular DP and Fuellie heads port matched to the Victor Junior manifold. There are Crane Gold rockers, a Crane Hi Energy Fire-Ball Coil pack, Bosch / Scorcher electronic distributor, Top Gun 10.0mm racing leads with heat proof boots and 150Amp alternator with Optima Gel Cell B8Occa Battery.
The engine benefits from a SuperCool Crossover Corvette radiator (by Aussie Coolers), transmission oil coolers and an engine oil cooler.
Power is put to the road via an automatic Turbo 400 with a 4200 Eliminator stall converter and stage 3 Shift Kit. The differential is a 3.92 Corvette Richmond with rebuilt internals.
New shockers, bushes and new OEM ACDelco round out the suspension package.
The 4-wheel disc brakes consist of stainless steel sleeved 4-piston calipers, pads and rotors.
The exhaust is custom made with 4-into-1 extractors exiting via 2-inch primaries into 3 inch jet hot coated collectors that run into a twin 3 inch stainless Mandrel system with twin stainless steel Edelbrock Victor Mufflers on the rear. The system also has exhaust cut-outs at the collectors, should you feel the need for a bit more noise and horsepower.
Inside, the cockpit has been updated with modern Corvette seats clad in soft black leather and Autolite silver faced gauges dominate the instrument cluster. There is a custom designed Corvette console with B&M Quicksilver shifter, beautiful leather steering wheel and Alpine stereo system including Type R splits, V12 Amps and twin 12-inch Type-R Subwoofers.
Wheels are sparkling 15-inch American Racing Polished Billets with rear 285/50 and front 235/50 Yokahama tyres.
No expense was spared when built – all components that could be upgraded were, including all new glass, lenses, plastics, door trims and rubbers.
The right-hand drive conversion was properly engineered replicates the OEM steering geometry. The car has previously been registered in South Australia and Victoria.
