THE STORY

Last of the Aussie V8 Falcons. Manufactured from October 2014 until the end of Ford production in Australia in October 2016. In 2015, 5,938 examples were produced in total of this 7^th series Falcon.

Each XR8 was fitted with an effortless Ford Coyote 5.0 litre Harrop supercharged V8 engine that put out 335 kW of power and 570Nm of torque. This was coupled to either a 6-speed ZF automatic transmission or 6 speed manual.

Other performance features include launch control with acceleration “overboost” function, 19 inch wheels with 4-wheel Brembo disc brakes, limited slip differential and Track-tuned RSPEC suspension which translates to precise handling in any situation.

Inside the cabin there are luxurious leather seats with XR stitching, sports pedals, voice command, digital radio, GPS system, dual-zone climate control, 8 inch touch screen and a SYNC 2 multimedia infotainment interface.

 

THE CAR

Delivered to Wayne Phillis Ford, Christies Beach, this vehicle was sold new on 6^th January 2015 to a regional purchaser.

A two-owner car and with just over 6,000 kms on the odometer, it has always garaged and kept in pristine condition by both owners and still retains its “new car” smell.

The current owner has owned the car for just under 4 years and purchased it with 2,416 kms on the clock. When the car had travelled 4,150 kms the exhaust system was upgraded with a 2.5 inch dual stainless steel system which gives an awesome exhaust note.

The car has the $ 2,200 optional 6-speed automatic gearbox that can be shifted manually via the push-pull gear-lever. New battery fitted  in March 2019.

An immaculate example that still drives as new, South Australian registration expires 4^th December 2022.
