THE STORY

Introduced in 2004, the sixth generation C6 series of Corvette was produced until 2013 and was offered as a 2-door coupe, 2-door convertible and a 2-door Targa top.

The C6 Corvettes were initially given the new LS2 (6.0 litre) V8 engine that put out 400HP. This engine was subsequently upgraded in 2008 to the LS3 (6.2 litre) V8 capable of 430HP.

In 2010 GM released the Grand Sport which shared the large chassis of the famed Z06 and had its own special light weight forged aluminium wheels and scuff plates.

All Grand Sports had larger/stiffer anti-sway bars, stiffer springs, revised shock absorbers, transmission cooler, functional front and rear brake ducts, cross drilled Z06 brakes, wider front fenders, 6 piston front brake callipers and 4 piston rears and a larger Z06 rear spoiler.

The Grand Sport variant quickly became the most popular model accounting for half of all C6 Corvette sales.

THE CAR

This is a beautiful Corvette C6 Grand Sport finished in Black with brand new leather seats and new scuff plates.

Professionally converted to right-hand-drive when imported into Australia in 2011 by MCI Melbourne.

This is a Targa Top bodied model and the hardtop roof can be easily removed and stored securely in the rear cargo area.

Powered by a growling 6.2 litre LS3 V8 engine that puts out 430 HP and attached to a 6-speed paddle shift automatic transmission, this car is quick and exhilarating off the line.

Handling is superb thanks to wide tyres all round, traction control, ABS and Chevrolet’s active handling suspension system.

This is a highly optioned vehicle with chrome 5-spoke forged aluminium wheels, cross drilled brake rotors, bi-modal exhaust, GPS, reversing camera and side skirt kit (not currently attached).

Other features include tyre pressure monitors, dual zone air conditioning, keyless entry, cruise control, limited slip differential, new battery and a supreme BOSE sound and navigation system.

This is a two-owner vehicle with only 64,740 km on the clock. The car has recently been serviced.

Currently registered in South Australia, the number plates are to be retained by the current owner.
