MV AGUSTA

2009 F4 RR 312

THE STORY

In 1907 Count Giovanni Agusta, an Italian aristocrat who had a passion for aircraft, founded the Augusta Aeronautics company in Palermo.

With aircraft production being prohibited in Italy during world War II, the Agusta family focused on motorcycles and in 1945 created the MV brand “Meccaniche Verghera” brand.

The brand went on to become an absolute icon of the industry combining continual grand prix success with a range of exquisite road going motor bikes.

Renowned rider Giacomo Agostini won consecutive world championships in the 500 cc class with a MV Agusta from 1966 to 1972. In addition, the marque won the Constructors’ World Championships from 1967 to 1972.

During this period the names MV Agusta and Agostini became inseparable not only in Italy but worldwide.

Always one step ahead of the competition, the company is guilty of continually producing “motorcycle art”.

THE BIKE

Known for its “hyper acceleration” this bike is one of only 276 produced worldwide.

Finished in Racing Red/Silver, this immaculate and stunning MV Agusta F4 RR 312 has a 4 cylinder, 16 valve, 1078cc engine that puts out 190HP.

Capable of an astonishing 312 kmph at 13,000 rpm (without rev limiter) this bike only has pre-delivery kilometers on the odometer (7kms). It is a rare find.

Created by “Team MV” who had 75 championship titles under their belt at the time this example was produced, it sports a 6 speed gearbox, Weber Marelli engine management system, Brembo monoblock brakes, smoke coloured screen and has a 13:1 compression ratio.

A spare NOS windscreen, new OE battery with heat shield and license plate bracket go with the bike.

Pure “Motorcycle Art”.
