THE CAR

Finished in Winter White with a Warm Charcoal/Konstruct Cloth interior, the car left the Ford factory on 1 March 2001 and represents an early example of Ford’s AUII Falcon XR8 SSB Ute.

Sporting the hand built Tickford engineered 5.0 litre V8 (200kW – 420Nm torque) and combined with Tickford tweaked suspension and a 4-speed T bar automatic transmission, these vehicles had plenty of power and good road manners. The car’s growling exhaust note gives a hint of its power and the Pursuit body kit really makes it stand out from the crowd.

Purchased from Jarvis Ford on 6^th April 2001, the original invoice is to hand and lists the following specifications/options: air conditioning, sports Momo steering wheel and shift lever knob, Pursuit SVP option, chrome nudge bar, heavy duty towbar, microwave alarm system, cabin tidy, window tint, XR carpet mats, slim line weather shield, dash mat and mud flaps.

In addition, the car has airbags, ABS, a limited slip differential, 17” alloy wheels, 4-wheel disc brakes, cruise control, intermittent windscreen wipers, power antenna, 6 stacker CD sound system, power windows, power door mirrors and an adjustable steering column.

The alloy nudge bar and roll bars are in excellent condition. The rear deck cover sports a spoiler and stays open with gas struts. The rear bed is lined with the original black plastic Ford tray liner. There are a couple of dents at the rear of the vehicle, but the paint overall is in excellent condition for its age. To ensure reliability, there is a dual battery system accessed by a switch under the dash on the driver’s side. The second battery is a gel battery and the setup has Anderson plug outlets for an esky or fridge.

Showing 163,300 kms, the car has averaged just over 7,400 kms per annum.

The car is listed at $24,900 but a set of original alloy wheels straight out of the box, with new tyres and center caps are available for an extra $ 2,000.
