The C4 Corvette represented a clean break from the previous C3 model with a completely new chassis and sleeker, more modern styling.

Both the Coupe and Convertible models had a revised front bumper/facia with wrap-around cornering/fog lamps, new horizontal side louvers, wider body-colour side mouldings and bolder rear styling (the trademark quad rear lamps were now rectangular). New 17” cast-aluminium wheels were the final touch.

Beneath the fiberglass skin was a fully independent suspension with the choice of a six-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission and the race-proven 5.7 Litre V8 with Tuned-Port Fuel Injection and lightweight aluminium cylinder heads.

The 1991 Corvette had one of the most advanced four-wheel anti-lock braking systems available in any production vehicle (Bosch ABS IIS) at the time.

Bilstein Selective Ride Control was available on all models. This system allowed the driver to select from one of three levels of ride firmness (Touring, Sport or Performance).

Standard equipment included air conditioning, Delco AM/FM stereo with cassette tape player, leather-wrapped Comfort-tilt steering wheel, power door locks, power windows, electronic speed control, halogen fog lamps, front and rear cornering lamps and power windows which you could open for up to 15 minutes after the ignition key was turned “off” or until the driver’s door is opened.

A power plug connection for a cellular phone was also standard and the Coupe’s one-piece removable roof panel could be lifted off and stowed in the rear for breezy open-sky motoring.

The Coupe also featured an all-glass lift-up rear hatch with remote release for convenient cargo loading.

Inside, the bucket seats were deeply contoured with a leather sports option that included power seats and lumbar support. A standard driver’s-side air bag was in the steering wheel hub.

THE CAR

This beautiful C4 Corvette Coupe is finished in mirror finish black paint with fantastic red leather sports seats and red interior.

With the single piece removable roof, she can be quickly converted into an open-air tourer for care-free summer cruising.

This is a right-hand drive car that was professionally converted in Adelaide.

The engine is the original 350ci (5.7 litre) V8 with tuned-port fuel injection mated to a 4-speed automatic transmission.

The car is fully optioned with original 17” cast aluminium wheels, tinted full glass lift up rear hatch where the removable roof is stored, power windows, power seats, power mirrors, power door locks, air conditioning, lumbar support seats, trip computer and more.

Additions include a K & N air filter, ceramic extractors, 2.5-inch stainless steel custom exhaust with high flow catalytic-converters, tinted side windows, a Kenwood stereo system and a Tisonic security system.
