THE STORY

The Silver Spirit was produced from 1980 through to 1999 as a prestige vehicle of the highest order.

The cars were fitted with the famous Rolls-Royce 6.75 litre V8 engine coupled to a three-speed automatic gearbox. Hydraulic ride-height suspension ensured a smooth driving experience at all times.

Interiors were elegant and second to none in term so luxury - Connolly leather, acres of wood trim, deep pile carpets and solid switchgear.

The best available technology was included in each car including power steering, power windows, power brakes, remote mirror adjustors and dual air conditioning.

THE CAR

This is an Australian delivered car that was sold by York Motors NSW on 29 October 1981 to a corporate purchaser. From there the car was sold into Queensland and then South Australia.

This honest Silver Spirit is finished in Honey Acrylic paint and retains its original Connolly leather hide, wood burl interior, lambskin carpets and mats.

This is a mechanically sorted car with full service history and original books. It only has 128,920 kms on the clock.

The original 6.75 litre V8 engine has great power and the suspension and ride are second to none. The 3 speed Turbo 400 transmission changes gears smoothly.

The car has power 4 wheel disc brakes, power steering, power windows, air conditioning, digital clock, outside temperature indicator and stopwatch.

The radio and air conditioning work and our test drive reveals all gauges work including the “no seatbelt” light.

All chrome and bright work is in good condition including the “Parthenon grille”. The wheel trims are colour-coded to the paint and the whitewall tyres are relatively new.

The paint work does need some attention and the dash, whilst not cracked, shows some sun damage.
