CHRYSLER

1970 VG COUPE HEMI

SOLD

THE STORY

The eighth Valiant model produced by Chrysler Australia, the VG model run lasted two years from 1970 -1971.

Body styles included a 4-door sedan, 2-door hardtop coupe, 5-door wagon and 2-door utility.

Engines ranged from a 215ci “Slant Six” to a 318ci V8. Transmissions were either a 3-speed manual or 3-speed automatic.

The VG range featured a newly introduced Australian built "Hemi" six cylinder engine which was claimed by Chrysler to be the most advanced engine of its kind in the world.

Just under 53,000 units were produced, most at the Tonsley Park facility in South Australia.

Inside are Charger front bucket seats, rear bench seat and these and the door cards are finished in a beautifully soft beige vinyl upholstery.
