THE STORY
In April 1964, Ford introduced the Mustang, the most successful model launch for Ford since the Model A.
The car created the “Pony Car” class of American muscle cars, affordable sporty cars with long hoods and short rear decks.
THE CAR
The car presented here is an absolutely stunning, A Code convertible with manual transmission.
This is an Investment grade vehicle that has just completed a full nut and bolt restoration to the highest standard.
A one owner car, it retains all its original sheet metal and even has its original owner’s delivery card.
The Ivy Green Metallic paint is striking and offset beautifully by the black interior. The white convertible top matches beautifully with the whitewall tyres and styled steel wheels.
This is a genuine A Code, four-barrel convertible restored to its original factory specifications.
Being an early A Code (manufactured last 1964), it has its original 3 speed manual transmission and manual convertible top.
The engine is powerful and transmission responsive. The brakes are fantastic and all gauges work.
The car enjoys a show quality engine bay and fully detailed undercarriage.
It also has an 8 track FM radio and various original 8 track tapes will go to the new owner.
It is becoming increasing difficult to find early real A Code Mustangs in the USA. Even rarer when you consider the standard this car has been restored to.
If you are after an early production fully restored, genuine A Code Mustang with nothing to spend, this is the car for you.
