The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was introduced in 2006 and was designed to be lean, agile and to appeal to buyers of exotic sports cars.

Originally powered by a 4.3 litre V8, this was later upgraded to a 4.7 litre V8 (420 HP) after 2008. The engines featured a race-style dry-sump lubrication system that enabled them to be mounted low in the chassis for an improved centre of gravity. Aston hired specialists to tune the sound of the dual exhaust system on each car.

In 2011 Aston released the V8 Vantage S with a modified engine that increased power by 10 HP and torque by 20 Nm. Compared to the non-S version, the Vantage S had a wider grille with chrome horizontal slats giving the low-slung nose and wrapped around plastic bumper a new look. In addition, it had stiffer suspension, a quicker ratio steering box, wider side sills and 19-inch “V” spoke alloy wheels.

The Vantage S also was treated to dynamic stability control (DSC), Hydraulic Brake Assist (HBA) which provides assistance in emergency braking situations, and Hill Start Assist (HSA).

The car’s interior was designed with sporty elegance and functionality in mind, with a nice-to-hold Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel, drilled alloy pedals and hip-hugging seats.

THE CAR

This is a beautiful Vantage S finished in stunning Lightening Silver with an Obsidian Black leather interior and Piano Black dash that is in immaculate condition.

Being an “S”, it is powered by the upgraded, glorious 4.7 litre V8 (420 HP – 490Nm of torque) that goes from 0-100kmph in 4.5 seconds.

It has the 7-speed sequential Sportshift II transmission developed by Italian specialist Graziano to be 24kgs lighter than the standard 6-speed manual. The transmission has Sports Manual mode via paddle shifters which give quick shifts and affords the driver a real connection with the car and the road. Sports mode also sharpens the throttle response and the exhaust bypass valves stay open through most of the rev range giving a glorious exhaust note.

It has been fitted with some desirable options. The seats are carbon fiber and Kevlar composite racing seats that are 17 kg lighter than the standard kit. They have high bolstering to provide better side support during high-speed cornering. In addition, there is a carbon fiber front splitter and rear diffuser, carbon fiber side mirrors and Alacantra roof lining and steering wheel.

A three-owner car, it was originally delivered in 2011 to its first owner in Sydney. In 2017 the car moved to Victoria and then to South Australia in 2025. This car has been well cared for and has travelled a mere 48,520 kms in its 15-year life.

It has both sets of key fobs including the crystal key and has its original delivery book and service records.
