THE STORY

Unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007, the first generation of the Maserati GranTurismo set a record for the most quickly developed car in the auto industry – going from design to production in just nine months.

The standard car came equipped with a 4.2 litre V8, but the GranTurismo S was the performance darling of the model and had a Ferrari-developed 4.7 litre V8 engine producing 433 HP and a top speed of 295 kmph.

The S achieved 0-100 kmph in only 4.9 seconds thanks to a 6-speed automated “MC-Shift” transaxle that allowed for extremely rapid, 100-millisecond gear changes.

In 2009, Maserati released a ZF 6-speed automatic gearbox designed for grand touring comfort and the S model also cemented Granturismo’s legendary, roaring exhaust note.

THE CAR

This car was Australian delivered by Prestige Formula Maserati to a private company in Murray Bridge, SA on 10^th May 2009.

This example of the highly desirable 2009 Maserati GranTurismo S is in great condition with only 116,400 kms on the clock.

The car is finished in Bianco Eldorado with a stunning contrasting Bordeaux leather interior.

Equipped with the 4.7L V8 Ferrari-developed naturally aspirated engine, this car boasts outstanding power (433 HP) and a glorious exhaust note thanks to a sports exhaust system with active bypass valves.

The 6-speed ZF automatic transmission features an Auto Sports Mode function with paddle shifters. Braking is courtesy of 6-piston aluminium Brembo calipers – this car’s calipers are painted yellow.

The car is also equipped with Maserati’s ‘Skyhook’ suspension system – an electronic system that uses sensors to monitor the road conditions and vehicle movements to adjust the damping of each shock absorber in real time. Being a S, this car is equipped with sport-tuned suspension that is 10% stiffer than the base model.

Other features of this vehicle include cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, heated power front seats, heated mirrors, remote keyless entry, dual-zone climate control, power windows, power steering, rear parking sensors, a full colour display multimedia head unit with in-built navigation and a premium BOSE sound system.
