1965 F-100 STYLESIDE PICKUP

$ 59,900

THE STORY

The fourth generation of the Ford F-100 trucks was built between 1961 and 1966.

In 1965 the model underwent substantial upgrades which would see it through until 1979. One of these was the introduction of “Twin I-Beam” independent front suspension with coil springs for all 2WD models. This new design gave the trucks car-like handling whilst maintaining work truck strength as the axle was split, allowing each wheel to travel over bumps and potholes independently.

There were multiple engine choices from a 223ci 6-cylinder up to a 352ci V8 and transmissions were either manual or automatic.

THE CAR

An extremely cool F100 “Styleside” truck that was originally delivered on 2nd February 1965 to San Bernardino, California.

This vehicle has spent most of its life on a deer farm in the USA. In 2014 it was imported into Australia and has had two Aussie owners since.

Finished in White and Pale Blue with matching interior, this truck boasts a newly rebuilt Ford FE 390ci V8 engine. The engine has Edelbrock heads and intake manifold, a torque camshaft and a Holley 4-barrel carburettor. This beast growls via side exhaust pipes that give it real presence on the road.

In addition, the Ford C6 automatic transmission has also just been rebuilt and the truck has a disc brake front end, original Twin I-Beam suspension, an automatic deck lid and a slide out alloy tray body.

This truck was resprayed and the interior restored in the USA in the year 2000 by the previous US owner.

The interior is in good condition with the upholstery, carpets, door cards and rubber floor mat presenting well.

All chrome and stainless steel is in good condition including the chrome hubcaps that are set off beautifully by the truck’s whitewall tyres.

Previously registered in NSW.
