THE BIKE

This is beautiful race bred and competition proven motor bike.

When Honda released this bike in 1984, it was claimed to be the fastest in the world at the time. With a top speed of 244 kmph and 0-100 kmph in 3.3 seconds, no-one argued.

The bike features a timeless design with aerodynamic fairing from the era in fiberglass and carbon fibre (not plastic).

Power comes from a compact 998cc, liquid cooled 90 degree V-4 engine that pumps out 122 horse power at 10,500 RPM. The engine has double overhead camshafts. The transmission is a 5 speed with straight cut gears.

The front alloy wheel is 16” with dual front floating disc brakes and piston calipers for added stopping power.

This Honda had impeccable handling thanks to a 41mm air-assist 3-way rebound damping adjustable TRAC-equipped fork (anti-dive) and 3-way remote rebound Pro-Link rear.

Other features include a wonderful colour scheme, dual halogen headlights and sports-oriented cockpit layout.

This is superbly clean example that has its original manual and sales brochure.

Only 33,419 kms travelled, as time goes by, examples such as this are becoming harder to find.
