TRIUMPH

1978 BONNEVILLE T140V 750CC

$7,500

THE STORY

The Triumph T140 was a continuation of the Bonneville series and produced by Triumph Engineering between 1973 and 1983 (when the company ceased).

The T140V had a 750cc engine with a five-speed sequential gearbox, indicators, drum brakes and a kick-start. The engines produced 49 HP at 6,500 RPM.

Originally produced for export only, the model generated so much interest in the UK in 1973, it was also sold domestically.

THE BIKE

This T140V has its original 750cc engine that has a rebuilt top end with Boyer electronic ignition and new carburettors.

The front brake, master cylinder and brake levers have also been updated.

The bike sits on a custom built 16" rear wheel and 19" front wheel with white-wall Avon Venom tyres.

Other highlights include pre-unit guards with ridges, a hand-made seat finished in leopard skin print, Koni shocks and unique finishing touches on the frame and fuel tank.

It is a functional full custom Bobber.
