THE STORY

Pontiac introduced the Bonneville as a limited-production, high performance vehicle in 1957. The Bonneville was Pontiac's costliest and most luxurious model throughout the 1960s.

It differed from the lesser models (Catalina and Star Chief) with its more powerful engine, high interior trim specs, instrument panel with walnut veneer trim, carpeted lower door panels, grab bar on the passenger side of the dash and courtesy lights and a rear arm rest.

Styling became more refined over the period as the car adopted a “coke bottle” appearance. The car also sported an angled roof, upward curving tail lamp and a recessed split grill.

In 1964, the Bonneville adopted stacked headlights and retained its wide track design, which assisted handling and expand seating room for up to 6 passengers.

THE CAR

This a luxurious, top-of-the-line Bonneville convertible which is finished in Cameo Ivory. The clean lines are complemented with a black top and matching black interior.

Optional features include power steering, factory air conditioning, power windows, automatic transmission, factory AM/FM radio with rear speaker and rear mounted power antenna.

The car has the optional integrated 8-lug wheels with finned aluminum brake drums ensuring fantastic stopping power that was unrivaled at the time by any other full-sized car.

Fully sorted, the 389 V8 provides effortless power for highway cruising and makes this big cruiser feel nimble. The car is a joy to drive, handles well with sublime direct steering and cushioned suspension.
